Taxes & Fees = 12.23
That is 19.659218775116540749075711300434% - almost 20%
The best part? Verizon is raising their rates by $2 from Nov 2007 onwards. How nice!

Starting with your November 2007 bill, the monthly rate for Verizon Freedom Essentials will increase from $44.99 to $46.99. The monthly rate for Verizon Freedom Value will increase from $34.99 to $36.99.
